'The God Delusion' (Video)

The BBC interviews noted "evangelical" atheist author Richard Dawkins about his new book, "The God Delusion."

(Excuse me as I nimbly duck out of the way while you hurl heavy, sharp things at the computer screen. Suggestions for applicable video responses are welcome and will likely be posted)

Money talks - in shekels and riyals

Ynet News offers a surprising bit of info, zeroing in - well, no, actually - what's the opposite of "zeroing in, "anyway? about the scope of business going on between:

the accursed, infidel, lackey, running dog, sons of apes and pigs, Zionist Tel Aviv regime and - wait for it - Prime Minister Ehud's Olmert's newest, bestest friends:

Saudi Arabia.
According to the data, 12 Israeli companies currently have export relations with Saudi Arabia, compared to only four companies which exported to the kingdom in 2004. Some of the companies export directly and some indirectly.

The Israeli companies export to Saudi Arabia medical equipment, fertilizers, minerals, metals, machines, mechanical appliances, and more.

According to data published by the Israeli Export and International Cooperation Institute, Israeli exporters sold products worth USD 245 million in Arab countries in 2005, including exports to Arab countries through third parties.

There's more about trade with other Arab nations, as well.

Mossad and Zionists and tigers, oh my!

Shlemazl offers a sharp look at British "genteel" (yeahright) anti-Semetism, not to mention the part played by a certain noxious MP called Jenny Tonge:
It is very sad seeing what is happening to Britain of Churchill and Maggie. Moonbats are on the rise and are vying for power. Here is what Baroness Tonge had to say:
The pro-Israeli Lobby has got its grips on the Western World. Its financial grips. I think they've probably got a certain grip on our party.
Fascinating stuff. How new! I am sure it makes sense to some people. Here are my two-penny worth of observations:

1. Brits are extremely dumb.
Well, that certainly doesn't include Melanie Phillips.

...But wait, there's more! For more wacky hilarity, go take a look at the UK's Muslim Public Affairs Committee website where that lovely image above is hosted:
Masajid and ISOCs Silent As Zionists Move In On Inayat Bunglawala!

"See with your own eyes that I am standing here firm and determined, and I will not flee" Khalid Bin Waleed. Today we can reveal that Inayat Bunglawala the pro Palestinian Media spokesperson for the MCB has been the target of Zionists around the world, in an onslaught that began last Thursday (25.05.06), in an all out campaign to have him sacked from his job. Someone had sent an offensive email from the same workplace to a Zionist Blog. The person who sent the email was indeed suspended last Friday (26.05.06).

Mossad and Zionists and tigers, oh my!

Lebanese blogger: Ramadan and Rosh Hashanah greetings

Lebanese Political Journal has a fascinating back and forth in the "talkbacks" under what seems to have started off with a brief - and pretty unbelieveable - post, offering Ramadan and Rosh Hashana greetings.

Worth taking a look, and offering your own.
Ramadan Kareem!
Happy Rosh Hashanah!

Last year, a Jewish friend of mine in Beirut was fasting over Yom Kippur, which occured in the middle of Ramadan. He decided to break his fast with Hassan Nasrallah and his supporters at an Hezbollah iftar. However, in the middle of Nasrallah's speech, he was accused of being a Jew by the head of security and interrogated. He claimed he was Christian. They let him go after a long haranguing. He left the event nonplused.
If LPJ have the collective huevos to write what they do against Hizbullah, we should support them, IMHO.

Having worked in construction with Muslim Israelis and Palestinians over the years, and being a chronic fast sufferer (wanna like-to-die nausea, shakes and headaches - don't ask...), I appreciate the rigors of month-long Ramadan, as well as the upcoming Yom Kippur.

So, G'mar Chatima Tova (May you be inscribed for a good fate) and and "T'zom kal," an easy fast to all.

Intimidating the West: Connecting the dots

Even with the welter of world coverage (make that a tsunami) about the growing threat to the West posed by militant Islam, Daniel Pipes gives it to us short and to the point.

From this...

To this, in just 16 years

The violence by Muslims responding to comments by the pope fit a pattern that has been building and accelerating since 1989. Six times since then, Westerners did or said something that triggered death threats and violence in the Muslim world. Looking at them in the aggregate offers useful insights.
