Train -vehicle collision: 5 dead, over 80 injured (update)

Ynetnews has video on the wreck near Netanya. Meanwhile, Israeli railways CEO Ofer Linchezski says,

"According to an initial probe carried out by a special investigative team appointed by me immediately following the incident, the train driver was driving at the proper speed and according to standard procedures."

Linchezski added, "A telephone call was received seconds prior to the accident. An emergency procedure was put into effect. Due to the close timing of events the train did not manage to stop in time.

"Our emergency procedure has limited capabilities."

Not unlike Israel Railways.
